First: Since most aluminum doors and windows have a recessed structure, the top of the window must be equipped with a drip edge to prevent capillary action of rainwater. Second: Around the perimeter of aluminum alloy doors and windows, within about 300 mm from the window frame, an waterproof coating (such as asphalt) should be applied. Before applying the waterproof coating, the surface to be coated must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and then primed with lead-based paint. Third: The area around the window should be sealed with concrete containing a waterproofing admixture. Please note that it is essential to add a waterproofing admixture, as ordinary concrete, during the curing process, loses moisture through chemical reactions, leaving internal pores that allow water to seep into the interior.
